This work is inspired by the idea that we forget that we walk over the dead who built our cities – St Petersburg was built on bones of its makers; the Great Wall of China which entombed the bricklayers into the mortar; London which stands on the bodies of plague victims or the catacombs of Paris filled with bones.rn
