- The Sunflower Field -

*I made some slight changes so I had to delete and re-upload. Oil on Canvas, 11 x 14 inches. simply a field of sunflowers with a boy and his dog playing. the landscape it meant to almost shelter them, hence the tower clouds above, border of trees around, mountains to close that end off and sunflowers to blanket it all. The photo I took has kind of awkward lighting (the white part of the clouds got the most light cause the window is right next to the top of the painting), but I try to get it as much natural light as I possibly can.

It is so wonderful; do you know that it has turned out amazing? The composition exerts such a strong pull on the viewer and the entire painting has a sort of magical atmosphere.

I agree with Custos. I feel like the viewer could really be sucked into this world.
