Finished Sunday, August 11th, 2013 Oil and Acrylic on Canvas, 24 x 36 inches. - - - I really enjoyed this concept and believe it turned out different but comfortable and still very colorful. Normally, Nebula are not colored, naturally they are shades of gray for they are collections of dust and other materials. I still like, however, putting imagination and color into concepts of space, creating an abstract representation of space and its massive mystery, but the color of human imagination, creativity, and hope towards the future and of discovery. - - - Info on the Hourglass Nebula: Constellation: Musca, Sky map 13 39 35.12, −67° 22′ 51.45″ - This painting only represents a small segment within the larger Nebula.
