- Sunset Sky -

I was indulging in the grandiose style of observing the landscape when I designed this piece. It reminds me of those sunsets when you see the sky, a mass of blood soaked clouds swelling into bruised purples, torn through by a slim streak of light. It creates a sense of awe within me as I become more acutely aware of the larger scale of the world I inhabit. Sand was mixed in with the paint for the sky and thicker marks were used for the building, which are used to provide a foundation, a grounding weight.
